CCD and Verify & Access are live on iOS and Android, bringing identity-verified crypto payments to 80M+ wallets and setting the foundation for the agentic economy next.
Buying age-restricted goods online. Accessing a service that's only available in certain jurisdictions. Meeting accreditation requirements for a regulated product. Today, each of these means uploading an ID, handing over documents, repeating the process for every platform. Starting today, 80M+ Bitcoin.com Wallets can do all of it once and prove any of it in seconds, without sharing their underlying data.
Verify & Access, built on Concordium's protocol-level identity layer, now live inside the Bitcoin.com Wallet app on iOS and Android. It's the first milestone in a partnership announced last year to bring identity-verified crypto payments to one of the largest consumer wallets in crypto.
Verify Once. Prove Everywhere. Reveal Nothing.
Bitcoin.com Wallet app users can now create or recover a Concordium account, send, receive, and hold CCD. Users verify their identity once through Concordium's ZKP-based ID layer. The verification is cryptographic, private, and stays with the user and not with a platform.
Any service can request proof of a specific attribute: are you over 18, are you a UK resident, are you accredited for this product. The user approves the check. The service gets a cryptographic yes or no.
No documents need to be uploaded. No personal data sitting on a company server waiting to be breached. No repeat ID uploads on the next platform.
For users who have been curious about Concordium but held off due to friction, unfamiliar onboarding, extra app downloads, or simply not knowing where to start, this integration removes the main barrier. CCD and identity verification now live where the wallet already is. No separate app, no new interface to learn.
“At Bitcoin.com, our focus has always been on empowering people to take control of their finances through self-custody,” said Corbin Fraser, CEO of Bitcoin.com. “As the regulatory landscape evolves, partnerships like this one with Concordium help bridge the gap between privacy and compliance. By enabling age-verified payments that preserve user anonymity, we’re supporting a maturing crypto industry—one where individuals maintain sovereignty over their data while giving regulators the confidence they need for Bitcoin and crypto to achieve global adoption.”
What Comes Next: ‘1-Click Verify & Pay’
What's live today is the foundation for something broader. Verify & Access proves who you are. The next step, 1-Click Verify & Pay turns that proof into a payment in one single step. For both humans or/and AI agents.
A quick, cheap way to pay online using Protocol-Level Tokens (PLT) meeting auditability requirements without compromising user privacy.
This provides a viable alternative to Google or Apple Pay for age-gated platforms and digital commerce, where neither can verify who the buyer actually is at the point of transaction. Concordium can. One action: prove the attribute, settle the payment, store nothing. The same flow works whether the buyer is a person or an agent acting on their behalf.
The Same Architecture Works for AI Agents
The identity layer that makes verified payments possible for humans applies programmatically to AI agents. An agent that needs to prove jurisdiction, verify age, or confirm accreditation before releasing funds uses the same protocol-level identity layer: the check just happens in code rather than at a checkout screen.
Because every account on Concordium is tied to verifiable identity, agent-initiated actions remain accountable while preserving privacy. Subscriptions handled by agents. Automated settlements between platforms. Machine-to-machine payments operating continuously. All of it inherits the same identity layer.
Every major wallet is racing to serve AI agents. Coinbase, MoonPay, Xverse, BNB each shipped agent infrastructure in the last quarter. But as Coinbase's own CEO recently acknowledged, agents can't meet traditional KYC requirements, which breaks the entire model for regulated commerce.
What This Unlocks
With CCD and Verify & Access live in the Bitcoin.com Wallet app, Concordium’s identity that infrastructure now sits inside an interface used by millions. The next step in the partnership is PLT stablecoin support inside the Bitcoin.com Wallet app, bringing protocol-level settlement to the same interface.
Each phase builds on the same principle: verified payments and verified agents are not separate problems but two expressions of the same identity architecture.
